Pastor, theologian and author, Greg Boyd will be in Pasadena for a 2 day conference, April 25 and 26. The theme of this conference is the problem of evil: “Is God to Blame? Moving Beyond Simple Answers to the Problem of Evil.” Greg Boyd has been one of the most influential individuals for us in terms of shaping our picture of God and appreciating that God’s Kingdom looks nothing like any kingdom of this world. Greg’s book, The Myth of a Christian Nation was a real paradigm shift for us. We also had the pleasure of meeting Greg at the 2009 Good News Tour conference. This conference is sponsored by the Roberta Winter Institute (RWI). For the last year we have enjoyed getting to know the Director of the RWI, Brian Lowther, as well as Beth Snodderly, President of the William Carey International University. Brian and Beth have been out to Loma Linda a number of times because they share our conviction about the Cosmic Conflict and the explanatory power this has for understanding our world.
